Overview

Located in the heart of Rome on Via Federico Cesi, Neve di Latte offers an authentic Italian gelato experience that resonates deeply with both locals and travelers alike. This charming ice cream shop specializes in artisanal gelato, crafted with high-quality ingredients and an evident mastery of traditional techniques. The shop’s inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal stop for anyone wandering through this lively part of the city, whether to take a break or enjoy a moment of genuine Italian indulgence.

Neve di Latte’s menu presents a compelling array of flavors that are both classic and inventive. Noteworthy options include the smooth and rich Neve di Latte, which features a delicate Madagascar vanilla cream base, and the uniquely Italian Pistacchio di Bronte DOP, a tribute to Sicily’s prized pistachios. For those seeking a fresh and vibrant choice, the Limone and Mela Annurca sorbettos offer a refreshing citrus and apple experience that balances sweetness with zest. The shop’s vegan options, like the Pistacchio Vegano, demonstrate an inclusivity that broadens its appeal to diverse dietary needs.

The gelato is complemented by their selection of macarons and small gelato cups, perfect for sharing or savoring at leisure. Cones come crisp and aromatic, enhancing the creamy texture with a satisfying crunch, elevating the simple pleasure of a gelato cone. Coffee ice cream lovers will appreciate the robust yet subtle flavors, while adventurous palates can explore unique blends such as Ricotta con Fichi e Noci, which marries sheep ricotta with fig and walnut reduction.

Neve di Latte’s location in a bustling tourist area might initially suggest a commercialized spot, but the heavy presence of Italian patrons confirms its authenticity and quality. The entirely Italian menu underscores this authentic atmosphere, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in local flavor and tradition. While non-Italian speakers may find the language a barrier, simple translation tools make it easy to navigate the generous variety of offerings.

Customer experiences consistently highlight the creaminess and depth of flavor that set Neve di Latte apart from typical gelato shops. Whether you favor the classic pistachio, the inviting chocolate and coffee pairings, or the passion fruit strawberry blend known locally as Libera, each taste is crafted with precision and care. The service is welcoming, reflecting a true passion for gelato that aligns with Roman hospitality.

In sum, Neve di Latte is more than just a place to grab ice cream; it’s a destination where traditional craftsmanship meets contemporary tastes. Its thoughtfully curated flavors, friendly environment, and prime location make it a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic slice of Italian gelato culture in Rome.

Great gelato and even though it is in a tourist area, there were a lot of Italians there and the entire menu was in Italian. So it’s probably pretty authentic. Lots of amazing flavors. Be sure to use Google translate or a similar app so you can translate the menus if you don’t speak Italian.

Pistachio gelato is the best, flavourful, creamy, and just right. You should also try their hazelnut flavour. This is one of the outlets. The one off of Mancini tram stop is my favourite.

One of the best ice creams I've ever had. Besides being delicious, it also has dairy-free and sugar-free options.

One of the best ice creams that we had in Italy, and we saw manly Italians eating here. They have a lot of different flavors, even for the ones with water based, which are mine and my husband favorites. Try the Melon, Zabaione and Banana flavors if they have it, you won’t regret it.
